1. Service Description

MYDNATLAS ("we", "us", "our") is a genetic ancestry analysis platform that uses G25 (Global 25) principal component coordinates to provide population distance calculations, ancestry composition breakdowns, admixture modelling, period-based analyses, and related tools. By accessing or using MYDNATLAS at mydnatlas.com ("the Service"), you ("you", "the User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Account Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account details up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Each individual may maintain only one account. Duplicate accounts may be terminated without notice.
You must not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

MYDNATLAS offers the following subscription tiers. All tiers include the same analysis features; they differ in the allowances described on the Pricing page, and the two highest tiers additionally include expert time (raw DNA conversions, G25 imports, daily AtlasOracle prompts and stored sample capacity):

Atlas: All ancestry analysis features, at the Atlas allowance.
Atlas Pro: All ancestry analysis features, at a higher allowance, plus a reduced price on additional conversion and import credits.
Atlas Concierge: All ancestry analysis features at the highest allowances. Does not include a video consultation.
Concierge + Recorded Video: As Atlas Concierge, plus one recorded 30-minute video analysis of your sample each subscription year.
Concierge + Live Session: As Atlas Concierge, plus one live 30-minute video consultation each subscription year, and a recording of that session.

All subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, and you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes depending on your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect on your next billing cycle.

4. Refund Policy

All Sales Final: All purchases on MYDNATLAS | including subscriptions and standalone G25 conversion credits, are final and non-refundable. Upon purchase, you gain immediate access to all features in your subscription tier.
G25 Conversions: G25 coordinate conversions produce a permanent digital product. Once your raw DNA has been processed and G25 coordinates have been generated and delivered to your account, the conversion is strictly non-refundable. G25 coordinates can be used independently in any third-party tool (Vahaduo, G25Studio, etc.) and cannot be revoked once delivered.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access until then. No prorated refunds are issued for unused time.
Before You Buy: We strongly encourage all users to evaluate the platform before purchasing a subscription. The Population Encyclopedia is free to browse, and each feature page sets out what the corresponding analysis tool produces.

5. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service, its outputs, or any part of the platform without our prior written consent.
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or data models underlying the Service.
Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the platform beyond normal personal use.
Upload DNA data that does not belong to you or for which you do not have lawful authorisation to process.
Attempt to access other users' data, circumvent security measures, or interfere with the operation of the Service.
Use the Service to discriminate against, harass, or harm any individual or group based on genetic information.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6. Intellectual Property

Platform Ownership: MYDNATLAS, including its software, algorithms, user interface, design, documentation, branding, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by MYDNATLAS and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
Your DNA Data: You retain full ownership of your DNA data at all times. By uploading your DNA file, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license terminates when you delete your data or account.
Analysis Results: You may use your analysis results for personal, non-commercial purposes. The underlying algorithms and methodologies used to generate those results remain our intellectual property.

7. Disclaimers

MYDNATLAS is an ancestry exploration tool provided for educational and entertainment purposes only.

Not Medical Advice: The Service does not provide medical, diagnostic, or health-related advice. Analysis results should not be used to make medical decisions or as a substitute for professional genetic counselling.
Not Diagnostic: G25-based ancestry analysis is a statistical estimation method. Results represent mathematical models of genetic similarity, not definitive statements of ancestry or ethnic identity.
Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, results depend on the quality of your DNA data, the reference populations available, and the inherent limitations of principal component analysis. Results may change as our reference datasets are updated and improved.
No Guarantee: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law; where permitted, our liability for a failure to comply with such a guarantee is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MYDNATLAS and its operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, all personal data, G25 coordinates, and analysis results will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, engage in abusive behaviour, or pose a risk to the security of the platform or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action, except where immediate action is required to protect the Service or its users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email and a prominent notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and delete your account.
